TINY TUTUS AND TUXES — Age 2 ½ to 3

A 30 minute class designed to introduce dancers to the fundamentals of dance. Boys and girls learn the basics of movement and rhythm as well as social skills. Age appropriate material is presented to help children develop gross motor skills, self expression and self confidence. This class is offered in two 14 week sessions.


CREATIVE MOVEMENT, CREATIVE MOVEMENT/TAP,
CREATIVE MOVEMENT/JAZZ — Grades PK3 and PK4 or Equivalent Ages

A wonderful introduction to dance for our youngest students. Fundamental ballet, tap and jazz exercises are taught, and basic motor skills and rhythm exercises are reinforced. Dancers are encouraged to explore the use of their creative minds in relation to movement. This class is offered in two 14 week sessions.


PETITE PROGRAMS — Ages 5 – 7

Our petite programs are 45 minute classes designed for dancers ages 5 - 7. These classes are more technically advanced and structured than our Creative Movement classes and are the next step in your child's dance development. Petite I is geared towards dancers ages 5 - 6 with minimal or no previous dance experience. Petite II is geared towards dancers ages 6 - 7 with prior experience. Petite classes are offered in Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap. Our petite programs run back to back so you can attend two or three classes for a perfect combination of dance, exposing your child to a variety of styles.


BALLET — Ages 8 and Up

Classical yet vibrant, traditional yet evolving, the technical training of ballet is the basis of all dance movement. Ballet training is essential to all other dance styles, and develops grace, poise, posture and musicality.


HIP-HOP — Ages 8 and Up

A funky, contemporary form of jazz with a sharp, street-smart edge that will add another dimension to your level of performance. This high energy class will focus on musicality and style as well as the history and culture of hip hop dance. Previous or current training in Jazz technique is strongly suggested for students attending this class.


JAZZ — Ages 8 and Up

Jazz dance ranges in style from the excitement of funk to the bravura of Broadway. Jazz technique develops strength, coordination, and the controlled movement of each part of the body.


LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY — Ages 8 and Up

A beautiful blend of Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. Dancers learn the technique of Ballet, the rhythms of Jazz, and the emotion of Modern. This dance form is frequently seen on the popular television program "So You Think You Can Dance".


MUSICAL THEATRE — Ages 8 and Up

Become a triple threat! This class will focus on elements of dance, singing and acting, all necessary components of musical theatre. The class will touch upon history and various styles of this art form and students will have the opportunity to perform numbers from well-known musicals.


POINTE — Ages 13 and Up

The technique of performing on toe (pointe) for classical and contemporary ballet. For advanced students with several years of ballet technique, upon recommendation of the instructor only. Students must be enrolled in a ballet class in addition.


TAP — Ages 8 and Up

Tap works the ears as well as the feet. Rhythm skills are essential to building a solid dance education. Emphasis is placed on precision, speed, and clarity of sound with an upbeat and fun approach to rhythm and dance.


ADULT BALLET AND STRETCH

This class is designed with the beginner to intermediate dancer in mind. You will be introduced to the basics of ballet technique, working through barre and center exercises that will stretch and strengthen the entire body. Come enjoy the beauty of ballet!!!


BOOGIE BOX

Boogie Box Fitness presents a unique blend of high intensity hip hop and Latin dance with kickboxing, plyometric exercises and military drills choreographed in intervals in order to really burn off up to 1100 calories an hour!
